What is a Mentor in the SLC?
Mentors walk alongside two students from their church for six months. We welcome anyone from full time youth workers, adult volunteers, parents, to caring adults in a church community.
They don’t run the program.
They don’t have to be experts.
They simply:
  • Intentionally connect with their trio
  • Pray with students
  • Ask thoughtful questions
  • Encourage courage
What Does the Time Commitment Look Like?
The SLC runs from January – June each year.
You’ll participate by:
  • Connecting with your trio (your two students)
  • Meeting with your pod (your trio plus a few more)
  • Joining an online session each month with everyone
  • Attending one in-person gathering over a weekend
  • Supporting students as they plan and run Alpha in their school
This is relational discipleship, not another ministry program.

Why This Matters
Students often discover their calling when a trusted adult believes in them.
