Right now, across Canada, people of all ages in all walks of life are living without Jesus’ love.
They’re wrestling with deep pain, struggling with broken relationships, and asking big questions about God and life: “If there is a God, why would he let me go through all this suffering? Why would he make me feel unloved if he’s such a loving God?”
And for many of them, they’ve never had someone share Jesus’ love with them.
If local churches and emerging leaders are not equipped to reach them—to offer them a chance to encounter Jesus—then thousands, or perhaps even millions, of Canadians will still be waiting to experience a life-transforming kind of love.
Without the right tools and training, churches struggle to create welcoming spaces where people can explore faith and ask honest questions. Without Alpha resources, emerging leaders like Maks can’t effectively share the Gospel with their peers.

5,194 Alphas were run by 2,414 churches and organizations (including 1,907 Alphas for Youth and 738 Alphas in a Catholic Context, and 556 in a Chinese Context).

Mike’s story is a moving testimony of the transformative and healing power of Jesus. After many years of struggling with a pornography addiction, Mike is now living free from addiction and filled with the love and joy Jesus offers us thanks to the supportive community he found at his local church, through Alpha.
Equip the church in Canada to reach their communities with the Gospel both online and in-person.
Over the last year, we have embraced and leveraged new hybrid models of Alpha so that we can continue to serve the Church in Canada as their needs change. In 2021 alone, we had the privilege of hosting more than 40 online events for over 7,500 church leaders to better equip and inspire them, with each event being a response to a need articulated by the Church.
