In such a short period of time, by the end of Alpha, you have someone who loves God, is passionate about serving in the Church, and they want to do these things intentionally and sincerely. And so because of people’s faithfulness in giving, that’s what we’re able to see happening every year.

Pastor Dave Koop (Board Chair)
Senior Pastor, Coastal Church, Vancouver
Pastor Dave is founding Senior Pastor with his wife, Cheryl, of Coastal Church, a multi-campus church in Vancouver. Coastal Church has been hosting Alpha 3 times a year regularly since 1996 at the Downtown Campus, and at each of the new campuses that they have opened.
Mr. Jerome Dwight
Chairman & CEO BoomerangFX, Toronto
Jerome is currently Chairman and CEO of BoomerangFX, a global enterprise software company serving the private healthcare sector. Jerome brings a varied background in private sector leadership having founded and pioneered a variety of high-growth technology companies. He has a passion for community outreach and corporate stewardship and actively serves at City Center Baptist Church in Mississauga, Ontario where he attends along with his wife Mandy and two children.
Mr. John Mackay
President, Strand Corp, Vancouver
John has invited many friends and family on Alpha and seen their lives transformed and also sits on the Alpha International Board, bringing a global perspective to the work of Alpha Canada.
Father James Mallon
Pastor, Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Dartmouth, and founder of the Divine Renovation Ministry
Father James Mallon is pastor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and the founder of the Divine Renovation Ministry.
He is also the author of the best selling book Divine Renovation: From A Maintenance To A Missional Parish, an engaging guide for parishes seeking to cultivate vibrant and dynamic faith communities centred on missionary discipleship. In 2016, Father James also authored the Divine Renovation Guidebook, a step-by-step manual for transforming a parish.
Mr. Art Reimer
Private Wealth Advisor, Raintree Financial Solutions, Edmonton
Prior to his current role as a Private Wealth Advisor with Raintree Financial Solutions Art worked as Pastor of Outreach for Beulah Alliance church for over 8 years. He also was involved in Edmonton as a lead pastor in a church plant for 8 years. In both settings and since he has participated in running around 40 Alpha courses in church, community and workplace settings.
Ms. Paula Roberts
CEO, HALO Brand Leadership, Toronto
Paula found HALO Brand in 2015 and has worked with a wide range of not-for-profit organizations to maximize the impact of their marketing and fundraising strategies. Prior to that, she held executive roles with organizations including Plan International and SickKids Foundation. Paula has led Alpha programs five times and will be leading with Sanctus Church this fall.
Pastor Vijay Krishnan
Lead Pastor, The Well, Toronto
Vijay Krishnan is the Lead Pastor of The Well, a community church, one church with three congregations in the north GTA. After studying business at Queen’s University, Vijay worked in the Toronto business community for 10 years doing CPG and Retail marketing. During that time, he helped launch Upper Room Community Church (now the Well), and in 2009 transitioned into the Lead Pastor role. Vijay is passionate about seeing the unchurched, de-churched and post-everything people of the GTA come to know and love Jesus. Vijay, his wife Jenn and their three boys are thrilled to be in ministry in the local church.

Donor Bill of Rights
The Donor Bill of Rights was created by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy(AHP), the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Giving Institute: Leading Consultants to Non-Profits.
The Donor Bill of Rights
Philanthropy is based on voluntary action for the common good. It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. To assure that philanthropy merits the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in Alpha Canada, we declare that all donors have these rights:
I. To be informed of Alpha Canada’s mission, of the way the Alpha intends to use donated resources, and of its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
II. To be informed of the identity of those serving on Alpha Canada’s governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
III. To have access to Alpha Canadas’ most recent financial statements.
IV. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
V. To receive appropriate acknowledgement and recognition.
VI. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
VII. To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.
VIII. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of Alpha Canada or hired solicitors.
IX. To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that Alpha Canada may intend to share.
X. To feel free to ask questions when making a donation and to receive prompt, truthful and forthright answers.
