Alpha Canada, a national Christian non-profit organization with an office in New Westminster, BC, is seeking an experienced, organized, and joy filled, self-starter who loves administration, strives for excellence, and ideally has knowledge of fundraising development. This is an exciting opportunity to hold a core and essential role at Alpha Canada and represent us on the front lines within our Donor Development department at our National Office and make a difference in the lives of many. You will assist our team in growing and cultivating financial pipelines across Canada. This role requires a deep calling from God for supporting others well, and desire to join in with a team living out the mission and values of Alpha Canada. You will gain professional growth in fund development and be in an environment of a team that encourages you to grow. You must be an effective communicator and proactive in your organizational approach.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Exceptional written communication skills; experience writing grants is an asset.
- A minimum of 2 years of high-quality experience in administration.
- Experience and working knowledge of fund development (preferred).
- A high level of customer service, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Strong ability to manage competing priorities within set timelines, with accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities (what you get to do):
- Administer workflows for donor relations, including inbound and outbound support.
- Communicate and perform tasks related to the overall donor care journey, anticipating donor needs.
- Support the Donor Operations Manager with fundraising initiatives that enhance donor giving opportunities.
- Prepare briefing notes for donor team meetings and engagements.
- Work on proposals, donor portal, events, annual campaigns, and other systems to provide an exceptional experience of radical hospitality for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to create materials, reports, and resources that help us achieve strategic goals.
- Maintain data integrity in our CRM (Salesforce) by handling donor records and generating reports.
- Receive further training in fund development, including drafting grant applications and conducting research.
Compensation
Salary is competitive within the non-profit ($50k-63k) sector of our size, and commensurate with experience. Benefits package included.
