Throughout scripture, we see a pattern: faith is lived, shared, and passed on.
Many who have supported Alpha over the years have done so because they believe in what God can do in the life of one person – one guest, one student, one church. A legacy gift is simply an extension of that same trust. It’s a way of saying, What God has in my life, I pray He continues to do in others.
Legacy giving is about faithfulness. It is about stewarding what God has entrusted to you in a way that reflects your deepest values.
Ways to leave a legacy
There are several simple ways people choose to leave a legacy gift. Each option can be explored prayerfully and in conversation with your family and advisors.
Bequest in a Will

Many friends of Alpha choose to include a gift in their will. This can be a specific amount, a percentage of an estate, or a residual gift after loved ones are provided for.
It is one of the simplest and most common ways to leave a legacy.
Donation of Securities
Donation of Securities
Gifts of publicly traded securities (such as stocks or mutual funds) can be donated directly to Alpha and may provide tax advantages compared to cash gifts.
Retirement Plans (RRSP/RRIF/TFSA)

You may choose to designate Alpha Canada as a beneficiary of your registered plans. This is done directly through your financial institution.
Life Insurance

Some choose to name Alpha Canada as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, or donate an existing policy they no longer need.

Every year across Canada, guests gather around tables in churches to explore life and faith through Alpha.
Students lead conversations in high schools. Parents rediscover faith. Churches are renewed.
A legacy gift helps ensure that these spaces continue, for the next generation, and the one after that.
Legacy Leadership Circle
The Legacy Leadership Circle is a way for us to honour and thank those who have included Alpha Canada in their estate plans.
It is not about recognition, it is about gratitude and a shared vision. Reflects your deepest values.
We believe generosity is part of discipleship. When someone chooses to make a legacy commitment, we want to acknowledge that faith and say thank you.
If you choose to inform us of your legacy intentions, your information will remain confidential. Sharing your plans allows us to express our gratitude and ensure your gift is stewarded with care.
