Every student is part of a trio: you, another grade 10 student (ideally from your school), and a mentor from your church. This trio is your core support team—where you’ll pray together, process what you’re learning, and step into real leadership opportunities.

Your trio connects monthly with 2–3 other trios in your region. Pods are led by a mentor and create space to reflect on sessions, share experiences, and encourage each other.

Every second Thursday of each month, you’ll join students from across Canada to learn from leaders, ask questions, and be inspired. These sessions are practical and Spirit-led—designed to help you not just learn, but live out your faith. Each session includes simple exercises or take-home practices to help you put what you’ve heard into action with your trio, pod, school, and church.

Each sessions begins at 4:30pm PT / 7:30pm ET and runs for 60 minutes.

From March 20-22, 2026, the whole SLC comes together at Muskoka Woods in Ontario for a powerful weekend of worship, teaching, and connection. This is a highlight for many students—a chance to encounter God and experience a united vision with peers from coast to coast.

The SLC is for any Grade 10 student who is willing to learn, grow, and take a step of courage. We believe God can use you to make an impact in your friends’ lives, your school, your community, and—together with your church—in Canada.

The cost is $275 for each student. Thanks to generous donors, most of the cost is already covered. If finances are a challenge, let us know—we’re committed that money will never be a barrier to joining. There is no cost for mentors.

Yes. All expenses for the National Gathering, including travel, lodging, and meals, are covered in the student fee.

The SLC runs January–June. Each month includes:

• Trio conversations (within your regular rhythms—like before youth, after school, or over coffee).

• Pod gatherings (your pod chooses its own meeting time once a month).

• Online sessions (national gathering on the 2nd Thursday of the month, 7:30–8:30 pm EST).

• National Gathering (March 20–22, 2026 at Muskoka Woods, Ontario).

Overall, expect around 3–4 hours a month, plus the national gathering.

Yes. Just like Jesus sent his disciples in pairs, we want you to experience the SLC alongside someone from your community. If you’re unsure who, ask your youth leader or mentor to help you prayerfully consider who else to invite.

Applications open September 19, 2025 and close October 19, 2025. Make sure you and your friend have submitted your applications, and your mentor has filled out their form.

You’ll walk alongside your students in an intentional way, investing in their faith and leadership while also being encouraged by other mentors across Canada. The commitment is light (around 3 hours per month), but the impact on your students—and your mentoring relationship—is significant.

You’ll embark on a leadership journey uniquely designed for you over the coming months. Along the way, you’ll have intentional moments to connect with your students and invest in those relationships. Additionally, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to engage with other leaders from across the country.

Through trios, pods, online sessions, and the national gathering, students grow as resilient disciples. They’ll be challenged, encouraged, and activated to live out their faith with courage in their everyday environments.

Yes—your presence matters. As a mentor, your role is to walk with your students as they live out what they’re learning. Whether you’re a youth worker, church leader, or volunteer, your encouragement and guidance make a lasting impact.

From January–June, expect around 3–4 hours per month. This includes your trio rhythm, monthly pod gatherings, and national online sessions, plus the in-person gathering in March.
