Alpha Ministries Canada, a national Christian non-profit organization with an office in New Westminster, BC, seeks an enthusiastic and diligent self-starter who is looking to gain experience in various areas including marketing and communications, working on data, IT, research and administration. We’re an organization that is engaged with each other and the church in Canada by making a big deal about Jesus and having fun doing it. Position Overview:
We are seeking motivated individuals to join Alpha Canada as interns, working with various teams performing roles in the following areas:
- Marketing & Communications Intern
- Assist in executing marketing projects
- Email marketing support
- Support the marketing team in organizing events and promotional campaigns.
- Based on your skills and interest: assist in work that may involve content creation, graphic design, video and copywriting
- IT and Data Support
- Provide technical support to employees, troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
- Assist in maintaining and updating IT systems and networks.
- Learn about salesforce and support various teams with their report analysis
- Help test and implement IT tools and applications
- Youth Coordinator
- Update our youth pastors and youth leaders database
- Join our staff in engaging with youth leaders and students
- Assist our team in researching the latest insights in youth
- Support our team in preparing and planning for in-person and online events
- Research Assistant
- Assist our National Director’s Officer team on innovation initiatives and research.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing data to support decision-making processes.
- Contribute to the development of reports, presentations, and proposals.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects
- Explore opportunities and projects in the area of fund-development
Requirements
The best fit for this role will be someone working towards or recently completed a post-secondary degree, preferably with some educational experience in business, research work, IT or marketing or communications. Having a can-do attitude and willingness to figure it out will set you up for success. Be proactive and eager to learn and you will thrive with Alpha Canada.
