Alpha Ministries Canada, is a national Christian non-profit organization with a national office in New Westminster, BC. We’re an organisation that is engaged with each other and the church in Canada by making a big deal about Jesus and having fun doing it. With the Church Engagement Team, you will be encouraging and supporting churches to foster environments where life, faith, and Jesus are shared in meaningful ways. Through prayer, coaching, and collaboration, you will serve Youth Alphas, including those led by students at their schools, and churches in running a high-quality Alpha experience that engages their communities and friends.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about sharing the life-transforming work of the Holy Spirit across generations, cultures, and denominations. You should have a heart for the next generation and a desire to coach and support local churches in their mission to engage youth with the gospel. Cultural awareness, humility, and a willingness to learn are essential, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.
If you are a self-starter with a deep commitment to seeing lives transformed by Jesus, possess strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and are eager to work cross-functionally within a team, this position could be the perfect fit for you. What you get to do:
- Communicate effectively and with passion Alpha Canada’s vision, mission, and values and represent Alpha Canada in various contexts including but not limited to digital and in person (some travel required) youth events, cohorts, webinars, coaching calls, and trainings.
- Provide outstanding customer service to adult and youth Alpha Administrators and volunteers as they run Alpha
- Be educated about the churches we serve in order to provide excellent support, coaching and resourcing to them
- Champion and share insights and best practices for engaging youth as they run Alpha
- Be ready to encourage and pray for church leaders (staff, volunteers, and even Senior Church Leaders)
- Collect and record relevant stories and data to strategically support Alpha Canada’s team and stakeholders
- Maintain records using our CRM (Salesforce) and work collaboratively using our project management tool (ClickUp)
Compensation:
Competitive salary ($50-55k annually) within the nonprofit sector of our size commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
